    ON GODDDD BRO

    mindfulness is so fire

  • truly though just moderate. if you want to get 100% “healthy” and sober then just quit outright. but i’ve never seen the issue in proper moderation if you’re an adult and get your day to day s*** done M-F or whatever your schedule is. if you enjoy sparking one and watching movies after work, then do it!

    i wanna be more productive

Quit it completely bc from my experience whenever ive tried to limit it, id get slightly mentally addicted and try to justify why i can smoke at this time or this day.

Basically ill continue to find a reason to smoke more until its everyday. But thats just me

  • Jan 4, 2023

I quit smoking after I had COVID and it became easier and easier as time passed. I feel a lot better and I know in general it’s just better for your body to not smoke. First couple of weeks my sleep schedule was really messed up though and my dreams were very unpleasant. I also recommend distancing yourself from your friends or family members who may pressure you or regularly offer to smoke you out cause 9/10 times you’ll end up smoking anyways and it’ll be harder to stop.

    Good luck @op

I smoke daily but only at the very end of the day after all my responsibilities are taken care of. Best of both worlds imo.

Might have to do that, been smoking a lot and it’s getting expensive. Finally ran out of weed so I’ll be going a two week 2 break

to anyone that went from years long daily use to cold turkey how did y’all quell urges but more importantly howd you get yourself to sleep

being able to go back and look in my journal and read the regret i was feeling every time I broke my sober streak helped. as far as sleep goes I've always been a champion sleeper so can't offer much advice on that topic but i hope the other replies helped u out

drinking and separating p*** from masturbating imo. but it's possible that you'll just slide in even more weed use because you "deserve it" if you try that, i know that's something i would do.

it's important that you keep it a buck with yourself, always try every day, show yourself compassion amidst it all, but not as a way to justify continuing these poor habits and behaviors. there are things you can sub in to try and take the place of the d**** in a neurological/biological way like wim hof breath work, heat and cold exposure, meditation, and exercise

knowing your brain and body and the processes at work and understanding your mental quirks and tendencies and why you do what you do is gonna be very important. never stop learning, being curious about yourself, and always dust yourself off and try again the next day when you slip up. that's where the mindful self compassion comes in key, beating yourself up for when you perceive you have failed isn't doing you any good, you gotta be kind but firm with yourself. real balance hours

Also just had a funny thought, my grandma bought me a “saving money in your 20’s” for dummies book way back in the day and I feel like all they needed to put in there was “stop smoking weed” 😂 id probably have like $100,000 by now

up to you bro. weed isn't a super dangerous d***. sure there are pitfalls but I know people who smoke all the time and are extremely productive and successful and happy.

but d**** affect everyone differently (mood altering d**** do anyway). i have friends who use it to sleep. but for me it keeps me up so I can't smoke within 4 hours of bedtime unless I'm drunk. and for some people it cures anxiety and for some people it causes it.

this is all to say, assess the effect it has on you and decide for yourself.

    We can do this

  • Jan 4, 2023

At my worst, I was smoking pretty much every day, sometimes all day. I was still really productive and actually enjoyed doing a lot of menial s*** while high and got good enough at it that no one around me could tell when I was high and when I wasn't. Recently, I decided to cut back because I had a creeping feeling that I was building a dependency and that I was becoming a shell of myself. I started having trouble motivating myself and used a nice bowl in the middle of the afternoon as an out from doing anything productive. It became common for me to plan an entire day out and then just derail it by smoking until I went to sleep. I just started by limiting how often I re-upped, even if I finished a pack and really wanted some more to limiting myself to smoking socially. Eventually, I'll go back to smoking every day once I feel I can control myself, but it's been nice not randomly disassociating and also struggling to socialize all the time because I'm usually way too high or just too faded to really converse.

I’ve quit for months at a time for the past 3 years or so and everytime I do it again it inevitably turns into an every day thing. If you can control/moderate your intake I think thats the move but that doesn’t work for everyone. Also for me at least it increases my anxiety and it makes it much harder for me to handle stressful situations. 2023 my resolution was to not hit the dispo, smoking w friends every now and then is chill, I just get out of hand when I do it alone. I recommend quitting OP and seeing how you feel. Because every time I quit I realize I enjoy life way more without it, movies are better, I eat better food, skin/sleep improves, I perform way better in the gym, and I overall have more drive and control over my life.

Masturbation can be very helpful if you learn to do it in a mindful way (no joke)

Binge drinking but they are all caused by your underlying mental health
