Both shows start with their woat seasons. But neither are unwatchable and have their moments. In my opinion, I'd go with always sunny as it's an easier to get into

According to your preference Sunny might be more up your alley in terms of a sitcom. Also Curb is dryer but still great. Sunny takes a few seasons to get goin but once Devito joined the cast the show really shines. Curb gets WAY better after the first few episodes but literally the second episode has one of the funniest moments of the entire show tbh.

Curb is more consistent but It's Always Sunny is more slapstick funny and random.

Curb kind of hits on subjects that are happening in the world typically.
