What I am noticing wave wise subtley is gated drums on trap beats (or at least transient manipulation of some sort)

Im hearing older drums on some trap beats like Linn toms being used on a Key Glock beat

Also just weirder modular percs being incorporated i.e. Gimmick by Gunna

Idk if those three things will be the wave, but cause small ripples in how the sound evolves

Artists gon have to pick the s*** that sounds different
