We're gonna get a solid lumberjack video that looks like a Ford F150 ad
Im out if somehow Dexter teams up with Harrison
It will def be interesting who returns and who doesn’t
Honestly anything goes and I don’t know what to expect
They will probably kill him at the end
You think they'll kill him off to kinda push the "he's a serial killer so he's bad" idea or some other reason

Thats the best way to retire a character like this. It was always on the cards tbh. They can't do the 'going into seclusion' plot again. Or else they might make it so that he somehow ends up working with Miami PD with his true identity exposed but that's highly unlikely.
Yo i just found an article where the original creator discussed his preferred ending if he stayed on as show runner
"In the very last scene of the series," Philips explained, "Dexter wakes up. And everybody is going to think, 'Oh, it was a dream.' And then the camera pulls back and back and back and then we realize, 'No, it's not a dream.' Dexter's opening his eyes and he's on the execution table at the Florida Penitentiary. They're just starting to administer the d**** and he looks out through the window to the observation gallery.
"And in the gallery are all the people that Dexter killed—including the Trinity Killer and the Ice Truck Killer (his brother Rudy), LaGuerta who he was responsible killing, Doakes who he's arguably responsible for, Rita, who he's arguably responsible for, Lila. All the big deaths, and also whoever the weekly episodic kills were. They are all there.
"That's what I envisioned for the ending of Dexter. That everything we've seen over the past eight seasons has happened in the several seconds from the time they start Dexter's execution to the time they finish the execution and he dies. Literally, his life flashed before his eyes as he was about to die. I think it would have been a great, epic, very satisfying conclusion."
been rewatching since the revival got announced. man, forgot how good the show was in the earlier seasons

i actually think it might be my first time rewatching
might just do 1-4, skip 5, watch 6 & 7, skip 8? currently towards the end of s3.

Yeah... it's been so long since i've seen the show that i kinda have a morbid curiosity of rewatching the whole thing, just to see if it's as bad as i remember

i've definitely been enjoying it, granted, it's been a decade since i've seen the earlier seasons
i'd say go for it if you're remotely curious to see how it holds up. for me, i think i appreciate s3 a little bit more than i originally did when i was a teenager. though i'm not touching 5 because i cannot stand lumen and the main antagonist of that season

Yeah 3 has the benefit of Dexter still being an amazingly charismatic character, which kinda makes up for the other weak aspects of the season, unlike the last ones...Like I get the development, obviously Rita's death changed him, as it should've but the writers could have handled it a lot better... Season 5 had a promising start with him losing it and not being able to control his anger, that was interesting to see but like you said the appearance of Lumen and the relationship she had with Dexter ruined it can't even remember who was the antagonist of that one lmao
