unless they follow it up next season (if there is one) the Ripper reveal was pretty lame considering all the teasing they did throughout the season...also Dexter stealing the yacht of a guy he just pinned a murder on seems risky because you'd think it wouldn't take them long to figure out his yacht was missing and put out a APB...not to mention the Statue of Liberty probably having cameras?...who am I kidding using logic with this show lol it was a fun season though...much better than the last few seasons of the OG series and even liked it more than New Blood though I didn't hate that one

most likely he will ditch that yacht. I don't think he's going to keep it too long because there is fingerprints on there, but at the same time I didn't notice if he was wearing gloves or not, but I'm pretty sure Dexter is smart enough not to leave his prince on there at all and then there's probably cameras on that boat and maybe a GPS tracker. You can't dock that thing anywhere without any questions being raised. So yeah he's he's going to have to get rid of it + Also, I think the New York ripper is going to be set up for season 2\. I know the reveal felt kind of flat but that's only because we as an audience didn't have any connection to that actual name. Or maybe we actually saw that person already and didn't know the name, but it's going to be interesting to see what they do. Also, I think Quinn may show up in New York because of Batista's death.
Also see Charlie coming back into the picture as a wild card somehow. Uma Thurman is too much of a powerhouse actress to be gone like that and she has not been written off so I think she will play a big part in season 2 as well. Also that female detective is cold. She is really cold. She is so good at what she does so let's see if she somehow connects the dots which I think she will and see if she can find Dexter and Harrison since they haven't left New York.
Finale felt kinda mild to me but it wad a good, chill ending to another great season
If this show goes another 3+ seasons I have a feeling they’ll give Dexter another brother or sister he didn’t know about

I'm sure he'll ditch it pretty soon yeah but I mean...they made a point of mentioning Prater was gonna take the police commissioner out on the yacht later and that he has before I think so I feel like soon as they found Prater's vault and discovered he was missing dude woulda been like "is the yacht still there?" and they'd connect the dots and be looking for the yacht mad quick...however as far as the Dexter universe is concerned there's been far more unbelievable/ridiculous things
I stopped watching when the series originally ended.
Can I jump into this season without watching the ones before?

ehhhhh you'd benefit from watching New Blood I think since this one picks up right after that one but it does an okay job of catching you up on what you would have missed on there too...New Blood is pretty good overall I thought and Alaska was a fun change up in location
definitely don't need to watch the prequel series I don't think
Finale felt kinda mild to me but it wad a good, chill ending to another great season
i swear it’s like a serious scene then it has a cut that’s been memed for years and i cant help but laugh
Man I'm so happy this is as good as it is
Feels like the ending confirmed why the series worked, they made Dexter him again and didn't try to completely change his character
Really hope we can get a season 2 soon
if they're going to cancel original sin (shouldn't have), best believe they're gonna give us a season 2. this show is too good to stop here, and there's a lot to still unpack
the fact bobby bacala survived dexter's kill table is crazy. gotta bring him back for season 2 to see if he comes after dexter.
bobby bacala
New York ripper
the other serial killers that dex grabbed their files to keep going
detective claudette
Quinn from Miami
so much continuation to work with in season 2
Surprise mother f***ers , Doakes and Snooki added to the cast of resurrection

I've never evevevever seen this nigga smile like this ever
lmfao
yea no f***ing chance
isnt this like the 2nd reboot wtf they doing with dexter man
ever since that grown man fell off the treadmill they been chopped
gotta put this in the cold takes HOF
I haven't seen it yet but based on the trailer it seems like they turned Dexter campy. Is that the case?
cause the nigga was in the woods in iron lake in new blood. resurrection is an immediate continuation from that soon as ep 1 starts
ngl, nothing will ever top the vibes and cinematography of Dexter in Miami. the colors and everything was just so magical. this new-aged resolution 4k-8k s*** is so dark and over-polished. not a bad thing but it def. feels different. but resurrection was a masterpiece. had me extremely invested and they delivered. kudos to MCH and others for their performance
