There’s a very real possibility that both this and the MGS3 remake will both be bad, and if that ends up being the case I don’t know how anyone could ever have any faith in Konami from that point on (I still don’t understand how they can now tbh).

I never played a "bloober" title. Can someone explain why everyone is so down on them and thinks this this is going to be trash. Trash looked okay to me. I mean s***, what do yall expect it to look and play just like the clunky original. It was amazing at the time and some folks may love it now, but in 2024 it needs to be modernized. Idk jmo but I'm looking forward to it.

I see but with this they literally have the blueprint. Its probably going to be just like the og with a modernized 3rd person camera (that's how games are now) and some of the cutscene direction may be a bit different. Guess we'll see. Also, if they are smart they should have an option to use the og camera angles. Call it something like "The OG Experience." And they should have a trailer showcasing it before the game drops.

Even saw people on YouTube saying the lighting and atmosphere looks off, I'm like dude it literally looks like an upgraded version of the same game idk what niggaz be wanting

im worried about the lighting because team silent built out the lighting engine custom for the game. idk if whatever script they wrote for unreal or something is gonna translate

More so than that, the fact that they’re hiring professional voice actors that’ll probably try to and deliver as “realistic” a performance as possible, when the intent of the original was to make them bizarre (almost Lynchian).

Like, the main character was literally modeled and voiced by some random guy they picked up off the street.

They’re legit doing the HD collection alt. VO but making it the only option with this one, I think Troy Baker is even voicing James again.

Hm..definitely need to see more of this game hopefully they have a new trailer soon. They should do a state of play.

I get people's concerns I suppose. I'm just excited to play this classic again with way better graphics tbh, and less clunky controls. Hopefully both this and snake eater drop this year.

Am I the only one who like the graphics? They seem to get the mood right with all the dark area etc...

Feel like the reveal face is CG. Obviously the face would be different from the OG since that’s literally the face of the voice actor, and he isn’t involved with this remake at all.
