Is the penguin show pretty good? I got MAX HBO or whatever it's called but haven't watched it. I'm really waiting on last of Us Season 2.

Man, maybe it's just me but hearing this is going to be about 17-20 hours is dope. I feel like a lot of non open world single player games are not that lengthy. And don't get me wrong sometimes they are better for it. But that's why RE 4 and last of us 2 were so good and epic. And yeah horror games are better when they don't over stay their welcome but so far I haven't heard anyone say that about this. Just saying sounds like a nice meaty experience that most players probably weren't expecting

What difficulty y’all recommend? Hard off the bat?

Played for about an hour and a half, reached the apartments. So far, so good. Atmosphere is on point. Melee combat feels surprisingly nice, very visceral.
The music

The only nitpick I have, is that on PC, you get some weird stutters when quickly panning the camera. Also don't like that the cutscenes are in 30fps.

Damn I read about the stutter on PC a few times in this thread. I'm going ps5

That's right I forgot it's not even technically out. I was thinking of getting the deluxe but realize it's already Monday and the game drops tonight so imma just wait a few hours instead of spending the extra money for the deluxe.

i’m still on the fence on if i wanna get now or a bit later and finish the others games i have right now

best part about this though is it’s not long so i may just get it and run through it since it is halloween season

I always planned on getting it, but I was on the fence of getting it on PS5 or PC.

it holds really well, some things i don't like but nothing that ruins the game

i would advise ppl to do the original too if they can tho

“games like this” bruh this is like one of the best horror games ever made

I’m about 6hr in and enjoying tf out of this. The combat does get a little dull imo, but it doesn’t really matter to me. It gets the job done & I’m more interested in the story, atmosphere, & environments.

Obviously the visual style is very different from the original w the photorealism, but it’s a cool way to (re)experience things imo. Some could argue that the realism takes away from the original uncanniness, but I think this version is able to instill its own unique oppressive tension with the revised environments

The music remains excellent so that’s a major plus too
