it's how often you heal
what items you interact with in your inventory,
how many enemies you kill and how you kill them
how often you interact with characters
how often you defend maria
what you do in specific boss fights
which notes you read and which items you interact with
how you solve specific puzzles
and the door you choose at the end of the game

If you have a dualsense the light bar shows you your health. I played the whole game using that with the red border turned off

I played through the first two and finished the 2nd one today (played the ps versions might buy the remake eventually) and I'm now watching dissecting vids trying to make sense of some things cause it def left me with some questions Can't believe i avoided these games for so long cause i thought they were too scary for me

I got the leave ending that letter I don't rlly understand how Maria kept getting killed in front of us but is also a real person cause there's an ending with James leaving with her? Unless James just hallucinated those deaths of her e.g on the bed/getting killed by pyramid heads.

Same kinda applies for Angela I thought she might be a ghost in the end unless she just sees the world differently as opposed to james and there was no fire in reality

And general qs how does the Silent Hill world work rlly? Is the one from 2 the same town from 1 just in a different time period? or are there multiple silent hill towns?

Are SH 3 and 4 worth playing as well?

maria isn’t real she’s a selfish manifestation from James and the Maria ending signifies James is destined to relive the same situation he did with Mary, there’s also theories that James is stuck in a loop and can never leave due to his sins (that’s why the developers said every ending is canon and you’ll find multiple dead James bodies scattered throughout the game). silent hill is the same place in every game its just different for everyone who visits based on their fears, traumas and sins. Silent hill 3 and 4 are not as good as the first two imo but 3 is a direct sequel to 1 and 4 is built around lore that was created in 2, both worth playing if you can though 4 is terrifying

Silent Hill world makes sense too and it's pretty neat now that I understand it ! I think I'm gonna give 3 a go then and maybe 4 altho what u said might put me off it. Appreciate all this

Took a s*** ton of shrooms and was locked in to this s*** for hours. The ambience otw to historical society || had me stuck for an hour staring into the fog man. After never playing the og it’s amazing what bloober team have done with this considering they track record. Just got done with || abstract daddy and goddam. Game is truly an experience.
