less trap beats, less songs, mainly boi-1da/40/nineteen85 production, if he's gonna rap put more time into the verses (dont let cole renegade on your own song you while you do a carti impression)

experimentally, completely disregarding any notion of chart success outside of key token singles. you know, like the old drake records

I need drake over rick ross type production. Grown man music. Modern flows is cool but his beat selection over the last few years has been wack. Too much money to have such boring and cheap sounding beats.

Emphasis on hooks cause I don't know what happened to this mans hook game. S*** is sad honestly.

  • Nov 17, 2023

@op have conductor do the whole album and some Griselda fts

  • Nov 17, 2023

I’d have him do what he normally does only difference is if prohibit the tracklist from exceeding 16 songs

what types of production, features, cover, rollout, presentation etc would u do? u have full creative control.

    discuss

Idk about none of the features and producers or s*** but if im given a creative brief for a Drake marketing campaign I’m going full hentai. No joke album cover will look like a f***in hentai magazine have that aesthetic carry over to the posters and merch. Make crazy s***toy merch. Make a dating sim app akin to Doki Doki. Go full sail. Drakes aesthetics have always lacked. If he wasn’t as big as he was musical wise people would think the OVO s*** is corny af and no one would wear it.

Throw him in a room with BNYX, Alchemist, NoID, Metro, Just Blaze, DJ Dahi, MIKE DEAN, Sango , Dpat, Dj Premier, Hit-boy , Boi-1da , & of course 40.
for the features probably , Hov, 3k , Benny, Cole, Wayne, Travis, & SZA.

Hooks in general rap wise have fell way the f*** off

This is very true and one of the reasons I think rap has fallen wayside to other genres in terms of popularity. Hooks are terrible all around

  • Nov 17, 2023

    More flute

Sample “Careless Whisper” and tell to get his last bars about Pusha/Ye off.

More beats like “Two birds one stone”

    12 - 14 tracks.

Production largely handled by 40. Other producers include Kaytranada, Jamie XX, Conductor Williams, Nineteen85, James Blake, Black Coffee, Boi-1da, Sango & PND.
Features - SZA, Andre 3000, Naomi Sharon, Majid Jordan & Lil Wayne.
7 - 8 slower atmospheric hip-hop or pure R&B joints, 4 - 6 classic hip-hop tracks, no BS trend-hopping, no trap, no rage, etc., just classic, dusty, hip-hop.

Dial down on the aggression, focus on interpersonal relationships, family, friends, more mellow, "mature" vibes. But still have that braggadocios raps on the hip-hop tracks, just no dumb shots at people that clearly don't wanna beef with you anymore (Push, etc.).

Would be a 10/10, Grammy winning masterpiece.

i’ve been saying this nigga be choosing the most generic production ever

  • Nov 17, 2023

Lock it up with Alchemist, Roc Marciano, Griselda and em. Straight bars and then there would be no questions on his rap ability.

  • Nov 17, 2023

By putting him in the room with someone other than Yachty

  • Nov 17, 2023

    fellas ITT dumb af

The best drake album would be one exec produced by kanye if he wasn't in a jealous mood

like without keeping the best beats for himself on some daytona s*** 10-12 tracks with evolving production and song structure

i love drake he has incredible flows and melodies but left to his own he doesnt want to push the boundaries enough

  • Nov 17, 2023

    rnb only
