you're right. if its one of those mothers that knows the father won't be around and chooses that life for her and the baby then that's on her. but I know people who have been raised very well with just one parent so who are we to say they shouldn't have raised their kid?

They can be raised well but that child still growing up as part of a disfunctional family and is bound to at least have traumas about it later in life.

That is not true. There’s always pretty clear signs when a nigga isn’t s***. It’s not like pre med students are the ones getting these women pregnant and then making them single mothers. Usually it’s a nigga that already has kids by multiple partners, a nigga involved in criminal activity, or a nigga who is typically unemployed.

Those instances do occur but that’s definitely not the norm. The average child that is born to a single parent home is born to parents without a university/college education that are also unmarried. In addition, %75 of black men in the age range of 20-29 are childless. However, only %50 of black women in the age range of 20-29 are childless (I will provide a source for these stats). Therefore, this is proof that women are clearly not choosing the best partners for parenthood.

I am a only child of a psychologically and physically abused single mother who went to college and worked two jobs.

You do not juggle all three of those things on your own and remain sane. She’s broken inside and now her physically health is rapidly declining and she isn’t even 40 yet.

I feel so bad for my mom.

Got out of an abusive relationship which is hard enough as it is and the reward was raising some kids by herself. And she never got back into the game, so she been missing that type of affection that only a life partner/soul mate could give her whole life. S*** makes me sad af, she deserves so much more
