good thing tbh dont care about how my character looks and the way the games built itll be better having more people in there loading up to a map full of people skating was cool only way to keep that going in the long run is making it free
Aw man...this brought my hype down to the ground
how come? serious question

Everything that comes with being a freemium, live-service game. The design bottom up being done to monetize every action and the general history of f2p games. Are there outliers? Sure but they usually have their own faults, and EA is known for being greedy and I don't have faith in them to design it well.
Need them to confirm if its exclusively cosmetic or not. I'd hate for tricks or objects to be locked behind a paywall

they said cosmetic and convenience whatever that means
alpha definitely let you unlock objects like ramps through loot boxes though

They did say no paid loot boxes. Bet the "convivence" part is for buying loot boxes tho..
Idc if cosmetics are locked I just fear they're gonna lock a lot more behind a paywall.
as long as there are a decent chunk of cosmetics still able to be earned through playing the game (missions, story, time played, etc.) im okay with it. Put all your silly costumes like a Unicorn and Aligator in the shop to purchase with real money but at least let me earn some basics.
F2P is such a double edged sword
battle pass with a bunch of branded skate clothes, ofc it's a cashgrab
We're dealing with EA here. We have confirmed loot boxes which is already an L
If it was/is monetized like fortnite F2P would be a massive W
did they mention anything about in game currencies or battle passes?
not sure but a battle pass would be kinda interesting
So no campaign?
They said something like "We don't want skate to be a game that's started and completed" or something like that so probably not

“We don’t want a game where you pay once and that’s it”
:cmon:
