Game feels really great to play; it’s just the overall visuals have this washed-out sheen to it, almost like they applied some pastel filter, which brings the whole game down a little.
I think this "issue" stems from the fact that it’s also releasing on mobile devices.
I was going to point out how the skaters’ faces look so off, but gameplay-wise, that matters f**k all to me.
As for the lack of modes/objectives, I believe they’re going to add those eventually (there’s a roadmap for upcoming content drops).
Personally I barely touch missions in Skate games; you’re going to catch me spending lots of time on a single spot trying to perfect a trick/line/combo and then getting the best clip out of it via the replay editor.

The other day I placed a couple of ramps in the unfinished-highway section of the map, and seeing other skaters repeatedly doing trick sequences on my placed objects made me happy lmao
