I disagree about Outside & personally dont assume a song is good because its gained "traction". Sure Chip hasn't been the most commercial, but hes always proved hes versatile, still got an amazing pen and therefore one of the best MCs in the scene right now

outside does not even have a video and has more views than crb check which is chips biggest song in the last however many years. crb check leans heavily on notes as well

views are not everything but outside is not supposed to be a hit nor was it given video treatment. It’s just quality music

chip does care about being commercial. He is always on remixes because he cant make a big tune on his own anymore

people say chip is versatile but when he tries to do it on his albums it has no impact. He just jumps on other peoples songs and changes his style for a verse. his song writing skills are washed. Skepta and adz are CLEAR
