Starting my retinol journey since I canāt go out anywhere anyway. Iām a little nervous for potential purging but I canāt wait to see the results

Itās a small percentage and the formulation seems good so Iām not too worried. Used it for the first time last wednesday, felt a couple little Small breakouts on my forehead, but I got them to go away after a couple days. Gonna use once a week for the next month or so and then ramp up depending on how my skin is feeling
How has it been for you
Iām starting on .25
not good i havenāt been able to resolve my acne no matter what iāve tried
i was on 0.025 for like 6 months and my face completely cleared up
as soon as i had a minor breakout i thought i should get ahead of it so i moved up to 0.05 for 4 months and been on 0.1 for 2 months and iām still breaking out as much as ever
i donāt think the tret is making it worse or anything but i was hoping it would make things better

Oh Iām not using it for acne lol, Iām using it to proactively address signs of aging and even out some texture
Didnāt read the entire thread, but the Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling solution is the product Iāve used that had me see the most results in clearing my skin. Donāt know if anyone has mentioned it yet.

I was nervous too, Iāve never used a peel of any sorts and the price almost seemed to good to be true. But I am definitely satisfied with the results and see a difference within a month and a half and Iāve barely made a dent in the dropper bottle.

gotcha itās still most likely not gonna be very effective, tretinoin is the gold standard for anti aging
look at the prescription vs non prescription paragraph webmd.com/beauty/features/retinoids-for-aging-skin
ātretinoin and retinoic acid (Retin-A, Renova, Refissa) that is "100 times" as potent as the retinol-containing products sold without prescriptionā
āGenerally, it takes about 3 to 6 months of daily use to notice a difference. With prescription retinoids, a patient might notice smoother, more even-toned skin in as early as 6 to 8 weeks.ā
i honestly hate skincare iāve spent an unhealthy amount of time researching i literally know more about it than my dermatologist

I saw a video about this one and I am new to the skincare game, is this for exfoliating and what's the difference between AHA and BHA?
Currently only washing my face, moisturizer and sun screen. Sometimes witch hazel and a face mask but I need a cleanser too, but so many products and terms out here but want to step up

Your current routine is good! Both are exfoliants. I think the difference between AHAs and BHAs is that AHAs are supposed to make skin peel and reveal fresh skin while BHAs go deep into your bores to reveal excess oil. AHAs are good for hyperpigmentation and scarring, while BHAs are good for acne. If you have particularly sensitive skin then it might be irritating to your skin, but if not itās pretty cool.
Just ordered some new Korean skin care
