If you guys don’t think this influenced the entire pop world from 2012-2015 you’re insane. Every song on the hot 100 had a drop in it and you can draw a straight line back to this project.
Wont ever forget hearing Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites for the first time through an mw2 video
I can even remember the trick shot with the drop on high rise pretty sure lmao
the vocal manipulation stuff on with you friends (long drive) is still really beautiful.
even then you could argue avicii influenced more
He’s definitely influential as well. Still wouldn’t put him above Skrillex.
It doesn’t matter how bad you think this is, this literally changed the music landscape in so many ways. “The drop” was never as big of a moment before this project. Dubstep blew tf up and influenced so many genres (EDM, pop). Just insane how important this EP was and I say this as someone who laughs at hearing the tracks today lol
Used to listen to skrillex and deadmaus back when I was like 8, then I grew out the s***

Same here. Was older than 8 but was a huuuuge skrillex fan.
i see what he's saying, he didn't invent edm drops but i feel like skrillex was alot of peoples first foray into edm. at least it was mine with these songs lmao

Summit is still a classic and probably top 3 skrillex
skrillex production diversity always amazes me because they all sound different but still have his touch

i think of kaskade as well
first house songs i ever heard
not hating on Skrillex he's a talented producer but the wub wub early 2010s sound wasn't good
Summit is still a classic and probably top 3 skrillex
!https://youtu.be/-e_3Cg9GZFUsummit makes my excruciatingly sad and nostalgic bro if one song defined my 5th-7th grade period that would be it
