If you guys don’t think this influenced the entire pop world from 2012-2015 you’re insane. Every song on the hot 100 had a drop in it and you can draw a straight line back to this project.

I can even remember the trick shot with the drop on high rise pretty sure lmao

the vocal manipulation stuff on with you friends (long drive) is still really beautiful.

  • loved this s***

  • rustcohlestan

even then you could argue avicii influenced more

He’s definitely influential as well. Still wouldn’t put him above Skrillex.

It doesn’t matter how bad you think this is, this literally changed the music landscape in so many ways. “The drop” was never as big of a moment before this project. Dubstep blew tf up and influenced so many genres (EDM, pop). Just insane how important this EP was and I say this as someone who laughs at hearing the tracks today lol

Used to listen to skrillex and deadmaus back when I was like 8, then I grew out the s***

i see what he's saying, he didn't invent edm drops but i feel like skrillex was alot of peoples first foray into edm. at least it was mine with these songs lmao

cinema a classic and i can see why skrillex would be influential for some. but when i think of the edm boom of the early 2010s i think of deadmau5, avicii, and then skrillex

  • Oct 23, 2020

Used to listen to so much dubstep back in the day... nowadays it gets no plays from me

skrillex production diversity always amazes me because they all sound different but still have his touch
