Unpopular opinion: Pierce Brosnan is the better bond, even though Casino Royale is the best movie from either one.
Pierce’s movies were way way way more enjoyable and the Goldeneye game is Goated.
I will say Craig’s movies had better technical writing but to the point where a lot of those movies were Oscar pandering snooze fests.
Pierce is more entertaining as Bond.
I like this take
casino royale ends WAY better than skyfall does. that third act in skyfall is....pretty underwhelming.
also i think casino had the better depiction of james.
Casino Royale......
like..... obviously???
Skyfall is a snoozer, even quantum of solace is better
2023 and we smoking wet out ere
Skyfall at times doesn't feel like very much at all like a Bond film but I think I still prefer it overall to Casino.
Casino Royale > Skyfall > No Time To Die > Quantum of Solace > Spectre
Think my list would go like this. I enjoyed them all

Making mine rn. Custom covers or something?
Yeah. You gotta be like a subscriber to the site. I wasn’t gonna do it, but that feature was so tempting. I use the site so much that it was worth it.

It was worth it to not put goldeneye in the top 3? Are you insane?

I don’t think Goldeneye is that great. It’s very good, but I don’t think Brosnan seemed that comfortable in the role at that point. He felt like an amalgamation of all the previous actors. He didn’t find his particular groove as Bond until his 3rd one. The movie is also way too self conscious—with the whole “you’re an outdated relic of the Cold War” s*** from M. It’s so end of history 90’s feeling in an annoying way.

That M line is hard as f***

I think it works fine enough in the context of that film, but it’s an annoying reminder of the kind of overly meta critical media we’ve had for the last decade or so. I prefer when Bond is sincere and plays to the strengths of the material rather than picking it apart.

I agree with him not being in his groove yet (Tomorrow never dies he finds it) but I still think it’s top 5 bond. worst part of the movie is when him and Natalya are having the soap opera in Cuba but that M line is hard af

At the time it probably seemed funny and subversive and in the context of the film it works, but personally in retrospect I find it annoying.

The movie came out over a decade ago. What are you talking about?
