Let me preface this by saying I’m an old head, so I don’t keep up with stuff anymore.

My impression of this group was that they blended all the genres together: rap, pop, r&b, rock/alternative.

I never heard a single song, but I remember seeing the threads over the years.

Then I discovered this album and 12 out of the 17 songs are incredible soul samples with passionate, introspective lyrics.

Y’all don’t know how soul chops FEED my soul. According to Anthony Fantano, this album sucks but what the f*** does that bald loser know?

I generally disagree with fantano's opinions on albums, but to be fair its not a BROCKHAMPTON album, its a Kevin album released under the BH name

all their albums are at least decent

but my top 3 are Iridescence, Ginger, and Saturation 2

Nah their songwriting and production was way more vibrant and catchy in the early days

The Family is a really cool album though, very personal and creative. Definitely an underrated project.

Roadrunner was and still is a pretty solid album that rivals any of the older stuff

The hype for them died tho so it never got any appreciation

Great record seriously the best thing KA or Brockhampton has done since Sat 3! very creative and unique manifesto and relatable storytelling about friendship and success

Underrated album fr, I play Good Time all the time

Hah yeah, kinda crazy discovering them at the end of their run. And then to hear the lyrics, you can see there’s a whole history there with the band. Good stuff.

I checked out some of their other records, sat 1 and 3 has some good ones.

Idk what moved kevin to the soul sample sound, but whoever produced these joints have a great ear for samples. Really reminds me of some Charles Hamilton s***.
