Dolly working on two EPs atm (one w/ thislandis)
Sebii - NEW EP OUT NOW - VVBLUE
Kuru - Atmosphere - single - OUT NOW

commonly labelled as "hyperpop" due to the spotify playlist (although it is not a genre as people like to call it, it is non-existent and the artists themselves shoot it down, even people at the forefront of it like Charli XCX. they simply make pop, emo, indie, rap, rock, DnB, anything you throw at them), this whole scene is like really talented, a lot of them r going crazy rn and theres so many so heres a huge thread on them and every1 related to them

it'll be hard to link a song for every single artist in the scene cause it's so vast, so i'll try to break it down in words along w/ a few of their songs:

if you haven't caught on already, there's this new wave of kids bursting onto the music scene, catching the eyes of numerous record labels eagerly trying to get them signed. their music is a mix of everything you've ever heard, ranging from hints of EDM, scene, emo punk, indie rock, trap, bubblegum pop, chicago drill--put every genre into a blender (with the exception of country, that's unlistenable), and you get a spawn of youth that are going to change the world while on the cusp of their teenagehood.

these kids started getting known on tik tok through popular editors (i.e igulana) which spread their songs to the top pages on the app. the first song from this scene to pop off was "pressure" by yungster jack and david shawty, and in the past 2 months or so, osquinn's "i don't want that many friends in the first place" has been spreading like wildfire on the app, racking up nearly 8,000 videos using the song. the scene has spread out over many groups and has many close affiliates like david shawty and kid trash. theres 6 major groups: bloodhounds led by chach, helixtears created by wells, gooncity, ss03, noheart and novagang.

the main producers that often create the beats for most of them are prblm (novagang) and blackwinterwells (helixtears). These two go in overtime, with wells creating anything from chiptune beats for glaive and dolly, hardcore trap beats with beat switches on par with Kanye West (threefaced by midwxst), pop bangers reminiscent of the bygone early 2010s internet era (CTRL w/ 8485), EDM (find her side project drainpuppet), and ambient pieces (limeboiler small versions). Prblm produces virtually everything for novagang, especially anything that goes on their main group page, and often collabarates with Ways and Dolly. 4am and Angelus are the other bossman producers in the scene that are just as talented, and often produce a lot of the mega posse cuts that they do (double tap, RED, graduation). A lot of them also self-produce, like osquinn, glaive, kurtains, kuru, eric, etc. Glaesar is also a slept on producer in the scene, currently running around and making huge moves with close friend Ericdoa.

These kids have the work ethic that many artists twice as big as them lack, and have the ability to also deliver quality on each drop. They frequently collab over discord calls, making huge posse cuts that are either jokes (UK freestyle), or turn into real songs (stuff remix, squad remix). They help each other out on mixing and master (Wells does a lot of this for them) and help each other write. It's a huge community of a bunch of talented people that make music during the day and decompress at night, making jokes in discord calls.

Together, they're changing the current music landscape everyday, creating some of the most unique sounds out there right now, having all the makings of a label's dream gift box: a slew of talented artists who have a fantastic pen game, catchy, quirky hooks, vocal skills, an ear for talent, and production that most rappers these days would kill to hop on. Love them or hate them; they're undeniably the next wave to burst into the mainstream--but it'll be on their own terms.

Kinda it's like someone took Bladee vocals and put it over a 100 Gecs beat. I f*** with Bladee and 100 Gecs but this s*** sucks. It's so obvious where they get their style from.

Edit: K I was wrong, this actually hard
