Also that text lmao
I never know whether Jasper is trolling on some level with that language. Like there's some interesting stuff there but it's also almost impossibly pretentious
You can rely on him delivering interesting references tho, that Sebald quote is cool. He also recommended me Rings of Saturn once on twitter when I asked him whether he reads any fiction too, need to get on that at some point.
Def curious to read Crater Speak too and see how it connects with the albums. I've heard on one page it just reads "Time is racist"
there's def gonna be a good amount of pretentiousness there too...
Also def gonna be a somewhat weird drop, almost like a b-side thing although he was still talking about recording new songs this year...
New MIKE

So much pretentiousness lol. I have no idea what the random half-formed sentence referencing The Thing has to do with anything.

yeah who knows, I guess because an alien ship collided with earth and then the alien blended/mutated with humans and wrecked havoc? The Saturn quote paints a somewhat similar image, also a collision with a planet which forms something new
"Disintegration" doesn't make much sense in that context tho, so I dunno rly
"Leopold's Ghost" probably alludes to this

I’ve heard the crater speak album. It’s beautiful. It takes some of the songs from AQF and makes them bigger and fuller. You guys will love it if you liked AQF.

AQF really is a masterpiece which only got better and better over time for me, rly looking forward to this
Can you tell me whether this track made the cut? Loved that one so much in London, literally been impatient to hear that studio version ever since...

^this one's weirdly angry, performance in LDN was better imo. Homie recorded the whole set if anyone's curious, 5min mark.

Quality isn't great but I love this recording, listened to it many times. There's another rap track at 25min, whole set's beautiful tho

Unfortunately that one isn’t on there but that song is amazing.

thank you I don't have to get my hopes up then
I guess on the plus side that means he got another tape in the works already tho, possibly even finished at this point
hopefully also on the soon-ish horizon.. reeaaally rly looking forward to that one. All those tracks with more prominent vocals were amazing
But also for now just v much looking forward to that EP 😌
Loll why
Idk just the whole cadence and flow. can’t really pinpoint it

You’ll like this project. The vocals are way more foreword. He’s singing a lot and rapping a little on this.
KeiyaA might be on the new Mount Kimbie single that drops next week
she’s definitely made a song with them though cause she was in the studio with them, it will probably be on the next Kimbie album

Yeah that’s fair. That’s kinda why I’m not super into Akai’s rapping style, it’s hard to pin down so to speak

30 track album
If it wasn't from this goat I'd be sceptical
Just seeing that a copy of Vergangenheitsbewältigung on bandcamp is bundled with all the excerpts from Crater Speak referenced in the track titles, same goes for the updated Quiet Farwell too. Good reason to support Slauson!
So this is more of an epilogue EP type deal by the looks of it? Designed to tie in with his book.
Noticed Leland Whitty of BBNG credited. And special thanks to Injury Reserve.
also just seeing that's BBNG's drummer Alex Sowinski as well - and that Leland Whitty just dropped an album with Matt this year! sounds rly good too
