just listened back to AQF and it's fairly wild how differebt there are lol, like on AQF there's barely ever not some kind of curveball every 10 seconds or lol, on this he really let's the songs play through, and with his vocals it's a very different experience too.

Still blown away 5 listens in (and I already knew many songs for months now lol), will take time to properly digest but it's def one of my fav things to drop all year already, got one or another melody stuck in my head all day today

just found an article with lots of cool footage from the LDN show <3

there's a very very faint high frequency at the beginning and throughout the first half of Wake 3 & 4 which sounds exactly like my alarm clock going off in another room, I always pause the music and check where it comes from

if you wanna know how to pronounce the title, this dude is half-German (sounds juust slightly rusty maybe, a tiny bit overpronounced, but fairly natural)

EDIT: slauson commented "💞 amazing" under this on twitter

Random, but tbh I’m not mad at how Slums’ roster’s been dwindling. Never cared for Medhane’s music (fed like I’m in the minority on that) or enjoyed Ade Hakim’s. Really in for MIKE, Sage, Mavi, Camden, keiyaA, Liv.e and co

it's not dwindling at all, some of the OGs are background figures now, but it's become so much larger than just the initial slums circle, it's a whole network of like 50+ people at this point, only got larger and more connected over time (also now more and more in contact with some other experimental scenes, like dreamcrusher for example)

expecting lots of good s*** to come from the likes of Akai, Demahjiae, Black Noise, Jay Versace, Jwords, Sideshow, Zeroh, Fly Anakin (also Bbymutha is crazy, hoping she's only on a hiatus), and lots of other folks who've either only been background figures or even unknown so far. It's been evolving a lot

My b I haven’t been super in tune w what’s going on: didn’t know they were formally gaining these artists. Right, I love Bbymutha, Black Noise, Jay Versace (he’s associated w the group?)

I guess what I meant to say was that the exits from the group I’ve seen won’t hold them back at all. But as you say, they do seem to be expanding in a really good way. Some fantastic artists in the scene

yeah at this point there's so many artists only so tangentially linked to MIKE and sLUms that most of them don't even want to be known as "slums", but it's still basically a fact that that was the nucleus of the movement and SRS the project which gave it an audience, and that basically all those artists are influenced by slums directly or indirectly

Jay been very actively engaged with people of the group on twitter, also made probably one of the most comprehensive lists we have, many names on there I don't even know about

also basically made Slauson announce the EP
