Nah I wish we had any updates. The fact he removed his statements from twitter and effectively remains cancelled aren't very promising signs to me tho. It wasn't a 100% clear-cut case tho for sure so I still don't like to assume guilt...

yeah I mean it's not rly influencing my opinion lol, just disappointing to see them miss the mark so bad when they're usually the only major publication recognizing greatness in this scene

They only cover them because of Earl; same reason why they started covering Mach Hommy.

The only major publication that gives every trap project a 7 or higher but will consistently look down on great Underground projects.

That's just not true lol, P4k been known to specifically have an eye on more avant-garde and underground stuff (they were founded as one of the first "indie" online mags), it's rather their move to recognize pop more too which threw ppl off

They gave a very positive 7.8 to Negro, they gave Ensley an 8 when no one even knew who Siifu is, they gave MGBYH BNM when no one knew who MIKE is, they gave Med and Keiyaa BNMs this year, bbymutha a deserved 8... Lots of track reviews and features too. Literally no one is giving this scene as much direct revenue and props as they do

And even if they arrived there because of Earl, who cares. So did I and most others lol

I'm calling out Earl because you keep praising Pitchfork for being avant-garde when the sLUms been killing it long before, they did not start in 2017. There are other blogs doing some good in the scene.
