new navy feature:
https://soundcloud.com/naturesounds/northbridgeif he goes on like this Navy might slip past Mike into my fav 3 rappers of the scene tbh 👀 Mike got a way stronger discog so far tho
Also wondering if that navy x mike album is still happening... that one could be a big deal

earl and mavi go first for me tbh
could also see akai slipping past med into my top 5 tho.
didn't even count siifu as a rapper though and generally it's kind of doing the diversity and amount of amazing talent a disservice to rank tbh. Just peeped Iojii today who's working with Swarvy a lot
(presumably because of swarvy) kind of similar sound to Lil Big Man, rly good stuff

this thread certainly helps a lot
people just posting new drops and sometimes you will find something u haven't heard before and start digging...
but it can seem overwhelming ngl
lmao
but yea starting with some essential work from navy or mike can't hurt
war in my pen would be a good one
let the sun talk by mavi too

pretty simple, they just became a big part of my listening routine.
There's def some big movers like Mike, Med, Mavi, Slauson, Navy, Siifu, and some more who have a fairly established fanbase and are very influential in the scene and have very reliably fire output.
I think the remarkable thing is that basically all the less known artists they collab with are worth listening to as well tho. I've legit listened to at the least 200h of distinct slums releases and I can't really remember ever straight up disliking anything tbh, like, at worst it's just less remarkable than other stuff, or less fleshed out, but still cool. That's really what makes this so exciting to follow, if you start digging you're basically bound to find heat.
But in terms of how to keep up with it - follow some artists on twitter, or if you're not on twitter much just look through Earl's tweets and there'll be a lot of good s*** retweeted etc

would take the scene to the next level imo, navy hasn't missed this year and mike still the face of the sound after earl

lofeye is an interesting one. Much more abrasive and darker feel from what I remember. Was pretty thrown having listened to Due Rent first. But in a good way. Lojii fire. Always thought he was a young cat, was surprised to find out he's like in his 30s and been around a while in that LA scene.

He more recently rebranded himself to lojii. He wasn't getting a lot of buzz in our city of Philly. Which is a tough city to blow up in general, especially underground. That's why Knxwledge moved to LA and lojii later followed.
