These are artist writing their experiences.You listen to the music, you support the artist but you don't hear the message.Their message is more empowerment than nationalism. How do you outgrow Black empowerment? Maybe you have confused black empowerment with anti-white.
Can you elaborate here?
Black American have been oppressed since the 1600's
Slavery-> Reconstruction->Jim Crow -> Civil Rights -> Mass Incarceration -> Now.
Its always outside forces be it white or otherwise telling us how we should behave or respond to oppression.No one has ever walked in our shoes tho. Nor has any other group used their privilege to stop the oppression.
If you a black american Shut the f*** up
I meant to say if you aint a black american @marcusg

What do yall think of Navy Blue so far? imo Higher Self is still his best song.

Agreed, Higher Self is definitely his best writing. I think Ada Irin was really great but, similar to how I feel about Cold Water, he still has better in him. But between that and his soundcloud projects he aint slipped once. I find myself revisiting those more often, felt the production was more interesting, even if less polished.
I know a lot of us consider him top 3 in this collective. For me he's only 2nd to MIKE.
