Crack A Bottle with Dre and 50 reached No 1 on Billboard.
That song was ass.
Just shows white folks will support anything with a blond haired blue eyed face on it
No disrespect, but if you were to compare the two there’s no contest. A vast majority of today’s artists either look up to Em or have cited him as an influence in their music. Tbh I haven’t heard the same with LL. Not to mention, sales. Despite the music being borderline trash now, Em’s still selling a s***ton of records while LL is hosting Grammys. Shows you that people are still looking out for the music and haven’t left him behind like the majority of artists from the late 90s/early 2000s. You’re one of the realest mfs on this site but I stand by what I said lol
Woat take
Listen, LL's influence isn't mentioned because it's too imprinted in hip hop, what he was a pioneer of is the status quo of hip hop (braggadocious rap/lady loving raps)
Breakdancers don't go around praising the buggaloos for pioneering Pop-locking, doesn't mean they make it any less true
Eminem selling records 20 years into his career;well he transcended hip hop (remember that pop rap record "recovery) for example) he has global superstar privilege in a world that is more open to hip hop than 30 years ago (and he's white so pop cross over succes is def easier)
Rakim, big daddy kane, krs-one, Kool moe dee, ice t, nwa, saltnpepa, run-dmc (whole 80s def jam roster really) made hip hop a thing in a time where people said (they wouldn't last 5 years)
so ll cool j hosting the grammys when he made music that wasn't accepted there and only broadcasted in the 90s is actually a big deal (still f the grammys)

After a long ass break. A comeback song by all 3.
Dre also was coming back from an eternal break.

So what, the song wasnt good enough to crack top 20 let alone number 1.
The game is fixed when it comes to.Em.
only point LL has over Eminem is that he came in the game much more earlier
And that he actually contributed to the sound of hip hop
Kami and MTBMB are far from trash. But also far from great.
We all have big artists we consider trash anyway. If you don't like Em at all, you don't like him. Period.
homie please post some songs, I want to hear what you think is good. I'm being open minded, put me on to Em's music. I used to love his early 2000s s***, show me some good Em songs post 2009 please
And that he actually contributed to the sound of hip hop
LL is more relevant then Eminem in the culture right now and hes been in the game 20 years longer
Mans said LL Cool J is better than Em. Come on now
Lost me with that one. I get it to extent but that was too far haha

LL has classics
Yikes

Bruh beefed with Mariah Carey and mgk and lost both but nah he's this lyrical force that people are scared to call out

The albums are there. I don't have to. Whoever wanted to listen did.
I don't love his last two records. I think they're just ok. But they not trash.
This is KTT though. People would put Gucci and Waka over Em for sure lol. And Em on the top 500 or sonething.

It's the power he had. He was C3 Wayne, before C3 Wayne existed.
He’s really not. Em been trash since 05. He doesn’t get a pass.
no, I would say TRASH TRASH as of his verse on forever, or as of 2010.
tbh Em could wash your favorite rapper if he wanted
nobody cares. he doesn't make good music
Benzino was right
Benzino and Ja should have focussed more on their own decissions and the feds. But they were too scared of 50 lol
I used to like Ja though
