Well that’s what I was trying to say. If you want to argue whether he’s a top ten technical rapper I can understand someone leaving him out but depending on what you’re basing your list off of he could qualify just based on what he’s accomplished

The thing about Em is that he could easily make a great/amazing album if he wanted to. He could make a introspective 10 track album with Alfredo type production from Alchemist.

But he deliberately chooses to sacrifice basically every aspect of his music aside from his lyrics. It's not like he can't make a classic, he's done it before. It's just that he chooses to push back against legitimate criticisms and do the opposite of what people want. We all know he can rap his ass off. We know he's an all time great. But being a great rapper does not equate to making great music.

Hot take for the forum but i think based on just rapping ability, I think Eminem is like top 5 of all time. As an artist he’s really lame tho. Technically a way better rapper than almost everyone but the music just isn’t there

Hell, even "Untouchable" was an interesting concept that got absolutely butchered.
