So basically it was franklin dreaming in the coma about an alternative path he could’ve taken after he got shot. He was dreaming of the opportunities he was never offered after getting kicked out of college, and how he would of taken those opportunities instead of selling weed for his uncle He didn’t really meet the CIA guy a year before. It was symbolism.
