Album sequencing, beat choice, transitions, marketing, timing, visuals all these things along with more are essential to a good album and someone like rocky who does a new soujnd each album and tries to create long lasting works is not gonna take just a year for that. Plus you have to live life, every album showing a piece fo your story. Not to mention proffesional rappers have busy ass schedules or the possibility of writers block. Gotta make sure the samples are cleared too, you get all your features and the hooks are fire too along with it making sense with the landscape at the time n the progression from your previous works. Most great albums in the 2010s atleast had over 100 songs recorded during the making of them this aint some easy s***.

rappers taking like 3 years for an album isnt that crazy bro all those factors just listed laid out why it does. If you think they dont match uup to that quality cool thats your opinion on the music though there are hundreds of thousands of people that would disagree with you, hence why hes rich.
