Just caught it at the cinema today. Very moving. Unfortunately the theatre was basically empty. With the way some people were talking about Tourette's here and elsewhere on the internet, it deserves more attention.
Mods can move this to the Film sxn but most of the BAFTAs discourse occured in this sxn so I thought it was worth bringing up here
The BAFTAs incident discussion was in film sxn so this thread can go there too
waiting until it hits cinemas in the US
I think it was amc screen unseen last week
great film i'd read the book before so had alot of insight into stuff main actor with a great performance very educational feel like the ending dragged a bit wish there was more that made the viewer feel like he had tourettes like some parts like nickle boys where its from main persons perspective POV clubbing scene would've slapped with this like the fact they included black people when prob they didn't need to there prob wasn't any within his story black lawyer black girl from the club. please please please can i stop seeing busy clubbing scenes where there's hardly any people there just hire more extras u not fooling me bro relationship with his mum and with his second mum was very real and heart-breaking glad i watched it in the cinema at home id have fallen asleep (nothing to do with quality of film more comfort of sofa n not cinema surroundings hope jamie foxx watches this and apologises for his stupid comments
