    Here's the thing tho...they want 3 professional references. I'm like Y'all niggas need references for a job paying barely above minimum wage? I don't got any references smh. I'mma have to get my cousin to cap for me

    Also... I'm f***ing crying at me quoting Jay-Z during the interview.
    I can't remember the question exactly but the lady basically asked me how I work when no one is watching and I said "The best way to see a person is not look at him and I pride myself on working hard when no one's looking" Dumbass answer what the f*** is wrong wit me?

    They are likely understaffed and want to see how you judge your integrity.

  • As someone who has worked in HR and recruiting, let me assure you that most people are not checking your references, f*** nigga.

    Nobody in any industry wants to do more work than they have to.

    Hope OP gets the job but I could never work for someone else and kill my dreams of a better life. Sure OP is still young since it’s a cashier job but I could never accept the idea of working for someone else and getting crumbs...hell no! Whether it's minimum wage or an average salary your boss is growing his business while you get scraps smh.

    I think we all deserve more in life. I'd rather fail 100 times than work for someone else.

    Now, interning at a radio station or something like that is different but for jobs like OPs...Nah. Our generation has the internet and if you put in the work you can make way more than just a regular paycheck.

    I’m not disagreeing with you, but as someone who has hired over 200 people, you hear some wild s*** in interviews. It’s like here’s a lay up and people still fail.
