Feb 21, 2024People really exaggerate the "ringtone" era to begin with.
It lasted from 06-08 tops. Any year outside of that is a Mr. Fantastic stretch and we still had tons of good albums that dropped during that time frame.
Also, "Wobble" is from the ringtone era and it's a cookout/wedding staple to this day.
A lot of these hits from newer rappers today straight up aren't sticking save for a few.
