Instagram and other US social media only gives the government access to that information for criminal cases with a warrant. If you had any knowledge on Chinese governments policies you would know every social media entity is required to give all their data unfiltered to the Chinese gov. Also they make these companies directly censor content that puts them in a negative light, like the Hong Kong protests.

Tik tok and douyin run on completely separate servers, one for Chinese regulations and one for the global market. It’s banned a lot of things but literally never at China’s request

you still haven't provided evidence of the CPC controlling tik tok so please don't stand on your weird high horse of "reading" and finding "evidence" when you do null

It's a source but not a good one. It isn't peer reviewed journalism. There's no citation and there's not even a follow up.

Compared to the second one which is technical journalism. It's a concrete a***ysis and there's barely opinion.
