    Tiktok drums

Your skull is absolute mush, quite frankly.

If DavidP was still around he would understand what I mean The zoomer trap drums with no low end so they hit on phone speakers. Pierre Bourne type drums. They make me want to KILL

Mr. Morale was not a disappointment please just shut the f*** up with this rhetoric man. Anyone who’s been through what he was expressing on that album, same sentiments he’s expressed on Overly Dedicated, can heavily relate to his perspective on healing and personal growth. Ya’ll just so addicted to similes, being punchlined to death, and hard beats. This s*** is mad low effort a***ysis of a really great piece of music. Go troll elsewhere man

    this is such bullshit.

The first goal of entertainment is to entertain. I dont care about the intent of various art projects. If it’s a creative piece, fine. Dont ask people to listen to it then.

Music is art first, entertainment second

comparing Nastradamus reception to MM is nuts lol

Purely focusing on the mixed reaction from the general public. I know it did decently sales wise but I was there on Twitter and here and it was a mixed bag for sure. Especially in comparison to how Not Like Us was received. On Twitter at least, half of the big names hyping up Not Like Us weren't really f***ing with Mr Morale.

    All art isn’t entertainment, just a pro-tip 😊

    N95
    Rich Spirit
Count Me Out (good song ruined by tiktok drums)
    Silent Hill
    Mr. Morale

Funnily enough these all flopped on TikTok while United in Grief, an actually good song, was an organic hit there

Is your barometer for “TikTok bait” just “songs that are remotely catchy”?

Don't let Kendrick's crushing victory over Drake distract you from the fact that he let songs like N95 and Rich Spirit out into the world

how DARE he put out great songs

    Unreal

It isn’t that. They think of 808s or anything remotely tangentially trap related drums as tiktok music. It’s a sickness and shows their shallow engagement with music and rap music especially

for me the content was amazing but the rapping itself was choppy/grating in a lot of places

just not the best execution imo

    What songs were choppy rapping?
