If you want more lore you can watch the Clone Wars. There’s characters form that show that appear in the Mandalorian. I never really watched the Clone Wars, just some episodes and clips on YouTube. You’ll still get a good idea.

Once you start watching most of the movies, you’ll just read up on extra stuff regarding the universe.

No need to worry about EU anymore. I used to read some of it as a kid. Some cool stuff but it’s not canon.

Pretty much get Disney plus. It’s got everything.
