It’s all subjective anyways, music is a diverse medium & everybody has different tastes, there will never be a actual song or album where everybody who likes the genre will agree. I mean We Paid has definitely been my favorite song of the year.
Though that being said, OP citing publications for their thread is fair. These big publications just report based on the numbers and general consensus..its not a surprise they’re naming WAP the soty. It has the sales, chart status. Not to mention the overall impact and influence it’s had on pop culture since being released this year has been explosive.
