Prince got 30 mid to bad albums and bringing up bill evans before miles davis or mingus?

Mikes Davis was already mentioned itt

Ye got what, 6 bad albums now?

And I don’t rank discographies like yall do. Mid projects don’t really even count to me I would just take everyone’s top 5-10 projects and compare that. Y’all get too percentage based with this s*** and I don’t see how you can keep that argument anymore with Ye

Ye has more mid than Kendrick so Kendrick beats him then right? Same with OutKast

If we comparing Ye to artists of all genres, the weakest part of his music to me is his rap voice

It’s really grating and holds back replay value for me now. He just comes off really annoying and I don’t feel that way when I listen to Stevie wonder.

His voice and delivery are one of the best in rap history

    Impact with who?

Ye’s impact has to do with when he came out. The way had been paved for artists to be bigger

I think it’s a lot of recency bias in these type of conversations. All 8 of KRS ones early albums had major impact except maybe S***and Violence. The Blueprint is legendary and that’s his third

I like KRS but to me their highlight album is Boom Bap but maybe you’re more versed in their discography than I

I said Kanye’s first 6 albums. That run in particular is top 1 for me.

The first 5 albums are under the name Boogie Down Productions and some of the most important hip hop albums ever

Ok then why you mention Prince having mid projects in response to me? When his early run is definitely comparable. I’m taking Prince first 6 over ye first 6 EASILY. Prince Self Titled alone clears ye catalog musically

He has like one of the best rapping voices, it’s so animated.

I ain’t animated like say a busta rhymes

That s*** just comes off corny to me today tbh. I rarely want to hear him it’s like a mosquito or an over active little cousin on the spectrum

  • Giordano

He said all of that anti-Semitic s***, created the HH song, disrespected Virgil Abloh etc, and yet he sold out SoFi Stadium?

What gives? Are y’all just being performative online and pretending to be outraged, only to later attend his show?

The amount of ppl at those LA shows that fit into this might be like 3

because you didn’t specify a specific album run for Prince earlier. I did though and I’m still taking Kanye.

Like I said, doing too much

    Headline literally says horrificd

  • Im not suprised people like the album, and I do genuinely want him to get better and the entire situation has been really sad to see, what im suprised about is how crazy the switchup was for his first decent album in a while. This ain't even tlop let alone mbdtf. Mf makes something decent for once and people forget years of bs including all that cousins stuff, it's really this easy for him

mental health awareness the last ten years or so has basically just benefitted famous people, musicians, sportspeople in real terms

Because that's all people care about.

They show more compassion for rich a******s who have the means and access to get help, but refuse than they do for the ordinary everyday person who has to struggle and can't afford help/care.

We are closer to and have more in common with a mentally struggling single parent living check to check than any of these rich sacks of s*** who have made conscious decisions to not get help or apologize for being sacks of s***.
