So basically Reddit hired this woman without a background check even though she is a public figure with a well known past. Then when it got pointed out in the UKPolitics subreddit a mod got banned and for 48 hours many other subreddits basically protested by pinning messages against this person. Eventually reddit folded and fire them, and admitted to hiring them without a background check even though the allegations with her name attach to them were a Google search away.

Here is one of the accusations :
