Islamaphobia is weird. Most of the people I've met that hate islam have never even been around Muslims or know anything about it. And they all have the same exact views (islam hates women, all Islamic countries are backwards, we want to have sharia law in England blah blah). I generally don't know where all these people are getting the same false information from. It gets tiring correcting the same bullshit to every white English person I speak to about it

Ok but islam is a worldwide religion. Half of Africa is Muslim. Asia has a huge Muslim population with Muslim countries like Malaysia and Indonesia etc. And there are advanced countries even in the middle East like UAE, Qatar, Bahrain etc. Even in the wartorn countries you don't think there are civilised people who have families and are going to work like everyone else in the world.

thats cool. im an ignorant american who been to 4 countries. so from what i've seen i can see how people think less of middle east culture. i heard a story on npr the other day on how this instagram personality got killed for posting bikini pics. they called it an honor killing. n npr is pretty liberal

No worries. Again honor killing is not an Islamic thing that's more South Asian like Pakistani culture thing. You can't do that s*** in majority of Muslim countries. We have a big Pakistani community in the UK and it's happened over here too.
