yeah I mean it’s not great but I really don’t think this makes a difference to his amazing career. Not many rappers have reached his heights, not even Kendrick who beat him in a beef

that being said Drake got a lot of skeptics, those would always be side eying him even without this

Family Matters still the best song to come out of all this

  • Allen Iverson

He will never be looked at the same by the general public. Regarding what matters to him most (legacy), it doesn't matter what he does from this point. This will eat at him way worse than the Pusha beef did.

What kind of stupid post is this?

He'll be fine overall... Like, the people who buy tickets to his shows won't care. But that's not what I mean. Career wise he will never be placed over Kendrick or with the "GOATs" in conversation again. It's just way too much material to combat anyone trying to push that type of narrative for him now.

He needs to ride off into the full-on mainstream pop-star sunset and never rap in his mafioso cocky persona again. It's laughable after this tussle.

This is a very stupid post that even YOU don't believe.

You want things to be one way, but they can't be (and aren't) that way. Check the charts. Billboard, Spotify, whatever. Check social media chatter. Check sales. You're wrong and i'm not. Factually. This isn't opinion based. You're literally the least objective poster on this site so this isn't surprising. Your favorite got obliterated and is on the decline. Accept it.

drake’s done too much work for him losing a beef where imo he had the best song to lose his status as one of the greatest in hip hop history

I agree with what your saying in regards to Drake riding off into the sunset mainstream wise. The only way he adjusts the humiliation from this is by continuing to be successful.

At this point the beef is concluded but the war portion will likely determine how it is viewed in the future.

Despite people disregarding the allegations made on both sides those things are still up in the air. In this climate, Both of them can't afford to have those type of revelations on their jacket.

Expect some major damage control over the next year from both sides.

tbh everyone is just saying kendrick hitting his girl and his wife having a kid with dave free is a lie nobody’s believing what drake said in his songs even if they’re as valid as what kendrick is saying

You're an idiot if you think any of those things are indicators that he's lost his place in the game or that his legacy has taken a hit. Stop being a prisoner of the moment.

K-Thots are so drunk with the moment that they think it'll last forever. They think Not Like Us will be a hit forever. They think people will always care about this beef. Y'all are gonna be hit with reality like a ton of bricks and I can't wait.

    Kendrick won by a mile.

Drake is not going anywhere tho. He is too valuable to labels, blogs, youtubers, podcasters, sport media outlets etc.

The economy of Drake is too powerful. Anything he does gets high engagement numbers because everyone has a strong opinion on him. Either you love him or you hate him - no inbetween. One of the most controversial artist ever.

That's a flat out lie. What you just said applies to Kanye, never did to Drake until now. His track record was too teflon before this, even with the ghostwriting fiasco. Definitively losing to the #2 of your generation in a beef is the do-in.

It’s absolutely not. Drake isn’t considered top of the game culturally by the rap gatekeepers. That’s why they snuck J. Cole in the Big 3

Half of this song is him telling ASAP Rocky to have s***with Rihanna and model instead of rapping and calling The Weeknd’s manager a homosexual in what world is it the best song to come out of this beef lmao

The problem is that Drake thought that exposing Kendrick for beating women was a gotcha. People still listen to Breezy

Close. The problem was Kendrick wasn’t saying new information. Notice all the receipts of everything bad he said about drake still being exposed. Meanwhile Drake Stans are making 1950s jokes about Kendrick beating Whitney with no receipts backed up by anyone.
