Feel like this one just kind of slips under the radar.
I suppose the thought process behind it was to try and write the most buckwild, boundary pushing s***song he possibly could?
Bruh was wylin. Iirc this is lowkey based on a traumatic experience he had as a youngin
But again thats only iirc. i dont wanna be right but if i am then that is what is up with this song lol

Prince had three half-sisters growing up in Sharon, Norrine and Lorna, who were all a result of his father, John L. Nelson’s, first marriage to Vivian Howard. Norrine was born in 1942, which means that she was 32 when Prince was 16, which adds a level of legitimacy to lyrics that, at first listen, sound farcical and written to be deliberately provocative. With the latter, of course, being an extremely probable outcome, it’s likely that The Purple One was merely attempting to discover just how far he can test the boundaries.
I never got why people thought this song couldn’t be based on real events
Unfortunately stuff like this happens often, also on a side note despite the topic this is an amazing song

Yeah sonically its a great song
I'm not bothered by him jumping out there with something wild like this it was like '78 or '80 right? They were getting weird s*** off back then still
I just hope that he didn't actually go thru that because i know he already probably experienced some wild s*** as a child as far as his parents alone.
But if he did go through an experience like in the song, which is wrong, I'm glad he at least expressed it out to the world and got it out, at the minimum
idk if that makes sense
this doesnt even scratch the surface of how wicked he could get
What kind of album cover
it's mfs first time seeing Prince covers on this site
