Just added to make the album sound as deep as his last projects
yeah if the tap dancing motif & the consistent theme of running/avoiding your problems tip toeing around them didnt exist on the album, maybe
people that put big stepper in their name literally were right all along that was the correct answer
OP what makes you think we are the big steppers
Listen to the album
I have several times I'm just extremely stupid
Fair
Big Steppers is mostly a metaphor for avoiding your issues, "tip toeing round the real issue/problem"
Hence the tap dancing motif & the consistent theme of avoiding the bigger problem while using scapegoats, as told by the tap dancing, most songs, the therapist snippets and woman narration.
The tap dancers symbolizes avoidance. and using ppl & things as blame instead of mostly the real issue, yourself.
It is also a metaphor and relatable for people/us avoiding our own issues as well. Big stepping, tap dancing around our own issues in life.
But there is a deeper layer, how kendrick used the "savior" title put onto him by the public, using that as a way to put his own issues "justifiably" on the backburner (an excuse) for the "good" of expectations. So in that instance, "we" are also the tap dancers covering for Kendrick. "Tell em you're not their savoir kendrick"!
Father, Cry Together, Crown, Saviour, Mother, United & Mirror tracks are the clearest examples.
maybe i should put big stepper in my name since as i write this post i am avoiding large issues in life
hmm the tap dancing makes sense. thank you kendric for showing me i can dance

this is his most personal, vulnerable and mature project to me
Tbh this would be the perfect project to exit into retirement

Mirror honestly sounds like his final song to me
