There's money to be made from him, and Kanye had much more public goodwill at the time than he does now - Drake may have looked at the circumstances and decided it wouldn't have gone in his favor, and that keeping things in a weird "will they/won't they make up" thing would be more lucrative

No he didn’t lol people hated him in 2018 after the Trump s*** so it was the perfect time to pull the trigger on a diss. Maybe 1) It didn’t exist or 2) if it did exist, Drake HIMSELF didn’t want to blemish his own idols career despite how poorly Kanye treated him.

Why do you guys not take Drake at his word here? He said he listened back to it and didn’t feel Ike he would enjoy hearing himself say the things he said years down the line.

He also said he lost the beef basically no matter what cause of the “chess move” that Pusha pulled.

    Yeah you're somewhat right,

    But

If you take what Drake said happened, the "beef" absolutely includes Kanye as much as Pusha.

Drake showed Kanye, not Pusha T, pics of his kid.

Drake told Kanye, not Pusha T, the issues he was having with his BM

Drake went to Wyoming to write for Kanye, not Pusha T

Drake played Kanye unreleased scorpion, told Kanye when he was dropping, only for Kanye to put the entire good music releases around his album release date.

Then Pusha T puts out a diss record, produced BY KANYE

How was it ever not about both of them? If you're in Drake's shoes, the nigga who really started all of this IS KANYE LOL

40 snitched about the BM s*** man. Push found out through that.

So is it about winning the beef with Push or about what gets the most attention? You're completely right if it's the latter, but then I'm confused about why this is even a discussion

The reason that Push got props for the Drake diss was because he showed that there was a chink in Drake's bulletproof image. Even if he had to go all TMZ on him to pull it off.

Kanye didn't diss Drake directly, which means that we were supposed to be impressed that Kanye annoyed him so he spilled a bunch of incriminating things about him? Why would he get props for that when Kanye is already a loose cannon who would say it himself given enough time? And in this case, that is quite literally what happened lol

this was never about a beef with push. it's always been about kanye

pusha got props for being entertaining, that much is clear considering it only elevated drake's career after the fact.

drake exposing kanye would not only be significantly more entertaining on social media, given the seriousness of the information, but also ruin kanye's career for being a s***ty human being and permanently affect his relationship with his family

Drake is far from ending anyone career.
I don’t like how everyone lap it up like he was some kind of god MC on wax when all he does is having quote-able line

So it was just a coincidence that meek mill fell off after beefing with drake and then all of sudden became relevant again after making a song with drake and then fell off again after Going Bad died down

    Imagine believing this lmao

  • His back wasn’t against the wall like it was in the Meek situation so he probably felt there was not really much to gain relatively. He was fighting for his reputation in the former

It never existed. Don't know if yall forgot how that beef ended but someone calling your BM a w****, saying your mother never experienced love and that you parade your father around as a yes man coon is not something you would just forgive and forget if you had ammunition lol

See I used to believe that too but there's serious smoke around the 2018 "Hitler album" thing being real and I have a hard time believing Drake a) didn't know about it or b) wouldn't have put it in a diss if he did

Do people not realize how corny it is to get smoked by one rapper, then decide to "end the career" of the guy to his left in response?

I feel like everyone is glossing over the main issue here, which is that he was supposed to dish PUSHA not Kanye

As much as Pusha beat his ass it was pretty clear that it was a proxy war between Drake and Kanye. Push arguably cared more about Wayne than Drake, and Drake cared more about Kanye than Push. Push was just able to stay on topic in his raps while Drake couldn't resist trying to reach around him and get at Kanye

? It wasn’t anything between Kanye LIKE THAT until The Pablo Rant/Wyoming s***. Push responded to shots that Drake made at him on Two Birds One Stone. Even before that, Drake took it upon himself to step in between the beef Push and Wayne had with Dreams Money Can Buy.

He truly probably would have never publicly went at Ye like that if Kanye didn’t do TMZ/MAGA s***

He didn't have s*** for them lol saying you had some scolding career ending take and not wanting to release because you don't want to be remembered for it is an easy cop out

  • 1887

    Drake showed mercy

  • Drogon

    "Old town road hoe
Tell 'em I'm a david parker ray with a ray gun
    Ye in here is done
Mortal Kombat armaegeddon 'cause our roster is full
Hometown bull looking like a snitch"

that's what the rumoured leak contained according to various sources
