Cavemen did not live in a capitalist society, they weren’t even in a mercantilist society yet which is the starting steps to capitalism

Do you think that capitalism is the final form of economics? That this is it? Or that we will move past this the same way we moved past feudalism?

As the market changes and technology advances, modern economic policies will definitely have to adapt

Some would already argue that capitalism as defined doesn’t event exist anymore - we are actually in a democratic socialist state.

For example, under true capitalism, social security and Obama care would never exist.

So while, there are capitalist tendencies in the market currently, There are social programs via the government that would not be accepted under capitalism.

But yeah, capitalism isn’t the final stage. I think there never will be a final stage, since the world and technology is constantly changing

College socialists are the same way lol

They have one Marxist professor in some intro to macro class and never worked a real job in their life, yet they think they know exactly what direction the political economy should move in

    That argument works both ways.

Just because we have some things within our society that are in common with social democracy doesn't mean we are socialist in any way.

Every college kid thinks they know every and has the answers to all the worlds problems.

US and world politics is extremely complex and there isn’t a human on earth that has a full understanding of it. The point I was trying to make is that the US is blend of capitalism and socialism. It doesn’t subscribe to one singular theory. Every US citizen needs socialism to to function on a daily basis. To ignore that is to deny reality and it comes off especially ignorant when someone coming from a place of privilege wants to prevent access to services for those that need it while they take handouts themselves in some form or another.
