Imagine if the US found out a chapter of ISIS was active in the US? What would happen? What would people do to innocent Muslims? What would the government do?
The response to Pearl Harbor was four years of concentration camps and the seizure of all their property. What would the modern day look like?

i have to disagree with this. i read blackshirts and reds a few years ago and had the same reaction most people do. but since then it’s become clear to me that his a***ysis is ultimately revisionist and frequently strays away from dialectical materialism.
i think that for modern appraisals of the USSR, the work of Furr is much better.

the redsOne thing I've always found odd is when marxists talk about identity politics the conversation has a myopic focus on the present moment when Goldman Sachs bankers are talking about how bigotry just doesn't make business sense or whatever, and theres barely a look at the much older and established marriage between bigotry and business which still hasn't disappeared
Much ado about lgbt Raytheon drones but things like Amazon hiring literal neonazis to intimidate German workers seem to be niche story if anything
This is not to say "actually capitalism is racist" but I get confused when people then try to go for the opposite take. It isn't predisposed for any position on things that people consider "social issues" imo, and simplifying the relationship just leads to liberal/conservative positions.
Capitalists will do whatever is en vogue to earn money.
