where did the notion that Gramsci advocated for a passive revolution come from? it’s like saying Marx was a capitalist cause he wrote about capital

Academics and rightists love to b******ize Gramsci. They get that idea from his concept of war of position, saying that this was him advocating for revolution to take place via various cultural wins within existing institutions. Which of course requires an extremely bad faith reading of Gramsci to come to that conclusion
