Dec 13, 2023When leftists call bad things their government does "fascism" it just obscures the brutality of AEL (actually existing liberalism) and mystifies what fascism actually is. Since it's inception, liberalism has walked side by side with slavery, colonialism, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, eugenics, militarism, etc etc. Liberalism was steeped in racial/hetero-patriarchal for most of its history before those ideas gave way to today's phony universalism.
The Canadian liberal media couldn't care less about Trudeau's 180° on basically every policy he campaigned on, but better believe we'd hear them decry the Cons as far right extremists if they were doing the same thing Trudeau has been doing to indigenous Canadians.

Really no better testament to the moral bankruptcy of liberalism and bourgeois democracy than Israel. Every supposed principle ceases to apply. Every liberal freedom thrown out the window. """International law""" means jack s***. Democratic will completely irrelevant. The same faces supposedly brought to tears by Ukraine now smirking as they tell you Palestinians must simply shut up and die.

Democrats, socialism, communism, all are conflated to mean the same thing
For liberals socialism, socdem, leftists have definitely been conflated to mean numerous things. Both from lack of a proper understanding of what Marxist socialism is in our education and how the media framing tells and convinces liberals they are the proper “left” on the political spectrum.
Communism is usually still a taboo phrase for liberals. That gets reserved for Mao’s China and the USSR whenever it’s convenient. Or s*** even when libs get in their sinophobic bag and think Chinese people are all brainwashed by the evil CPC.
