We’ve had success with this strategy before, landlords get f***ing shook when they start getting calls from all over the country. One time we had people as far as China calling in and successfully stopped an eviction as a result

URGENT: We are calling upon all our followers to take quick action TODAY to help stop an unconscionable eviction. After raising her rent by 25% last year, Keystone Villas Senior Living is attempting to evict their resident, Joan Wotjtkiewicz, TOMORROW. Joan is an elderly, disabled woman, and Keystone plans to evict her tomorrow in sub-zero temperatures. From the KETV article:

“Each month, Wojtkiewicz gets about $1,000 from social security and disability. With her rent raised to about $800 monthly, she's left with only $50 a week for food and everything else”

Joan has fallen behind on rent due to her landlord’s predatory behavior, forcing her to choose between food, medical treatment, and a roof over her head. Keystone is callously willing to kick a woman onto the street in horrific conditions. We need everyone to contact Keystone ASAP and tell them “LET JOAN STAY”.

Call Keystone at (402) 572-5750 and ask to speak to Executive Director Jennifer Hopkins. If you can’t speak to anyone, floof their voicemail with messages, calling them out on their sick behavior and demanding that they LET JOAN STAY. We need as many people as soon as possible to call in and show solidarity with Joan. We cannot let these predators treat our neighbors like this. Being a social democrat is deluding yourself into thinking revolutionary socialism is just too violent and unrealistic but bourgeois democracy is benign and communism through reform is realistic.
