Omaha Tenants United is excited to announce the formation of the L14.5 Tenants Union! In early August, tenants from Elevate Livings L14 and L15 voted to unionize, marking the third and fourth Elevate Living complexes to organize tenants unions. Due to their close proximity and shared issues, the tenants elected to form a single union comprising both complexes.

In the weeks following the formation of the union, we spent time collecting additional signatures for the union’s collective demands, gathering about 80 tenants in support of the demands and the newly formed union. Elevate was made aware of the union and delivered the demands early last week.

This marks another big step forward for the tenants movement in Omaha. We will begin turning up the pressure on Elevate in the coming weeks as 14.5 and their fellow tenants at Fontenelle Hills TU and Camelot Village TU work together to fight for the homes they deserve!
