Blood In My Eye is such a pertinent read rn (and always)

    • “The shock troops of fascism on the mass political level are drawn from members of the lower-middle class who feel the upward thrust of the lower classes more acutely. These classes feel that any dislocation of the present economy resulting from the upward thrust of the masses would affect their status first. They are joined by that sector of the working class which is backward enough to be affected by nationalistic trappings and the loyalty syndrome that sociologists have termed the “authoritarian personality.” One primary aim of the fascist arrangement is to extend and develop this new pig class, to degenerate and diffuse working-class consciousness with a psycho-social appeal to man’s herd instincts. Development and exploitation of the authoritarian syndrome is at the center of totalitarian capitalism (fascism). It feeds on a small but still false sense of class consciousness and the need for community.”

    Very underrated book

    Sir Real

    Very underrated book

George Jackson did a good job at showing me how fallible the state actually is

“The facts that make it impossible for the establishment army to overcome the attacking guerrilla army—in spite of the availability of the knowledge contained in the masterworks on guerrilla strategy—become clear when we realize that after the strategy is understood by the guerrilla chief, the tactics applicable to his particular military problems “are a product of his imagination alone, ” a constant creative improvising. Also working against the establishment’s general staff is its own mentality. They’ve convinced themselves or have been convinced by their experience at war with other mechanized armies that “having the most at the right time” wins war. In other words, they feel that winning wars depends mainly on gadgets and they presume that they can dictate the terms and grounds upon which each battle takes place. They’re locked in on a fixed set of systematized ideas that conflict completely with the realities of People’s War. Their egos simply will never allow them to admit that all the ingenuity that has gone into the development of the blitzkrieg has been wasted. A $100,000 tank can be destroyed with two dollars’ worth of materials; a jet is useless against the rifleman, and it also can be destroyed with one well-placed burst from an assault rifle or destroyed on the ground by mortar from miles away. Then, too, the pilot, years in the making, can be killed with a knife"

i used to be an electoral concessionist but bernie standing for genocide and zohran spinelessly giving into opinions not even held by his voterbase really did it in for me. i said it in the replies of that tweet too, that this is all a set up to wash him of any responsibilities and to paint successful socialism as a politick of failure and martrydom instead of progress (quite the contradiction!)

if we're really gonna alienate the people we're campaigning to by repeating useless platitudes instead of focusing on no-nonsense civic legislature like his nomination campaign was doing, i'd rather swing left than placate the media class - Zohran was gonna be recieved well by the synagogues of Williamsburg whether or not he made any of these statements, it's just so useless

agreed, its funny how he isn’t even in power yet but is already folding on his most “radical positions” and attempting to make himself more palatable to the status quo (trying to placate Liberal Zionists, backtracking on NYPD, echoing Imperialist positions towards Cuba/Venezuela) when he doesn't need to do all that to win. i expected him to show his ass but i didn't expect it to happen so fast tbh. to top it off, apparently, NYC’s DSA chapter is having a meeting to discuss a proposal asking members not to criticize him or demand accountability once he's mayor sad s***

It’s inconsolable that a “leftist” political party is stratifying their constituents from their representatives

It’s compromising the entire foundation of leftist politics

  • Oct 15, 2025

We are watching the active foray of American “democratic socialists” into the liberal landscape as calls for socialism and worker-based politics continue to rise across the nation

Surely there’s no predecessor to this phenomenon

I think it has limited use but it has to be connected to practical and tangible work with any areas of potential class struggle within your org’s local area, which in turn has to come from being able to identify who the actual proletariat are, where are conditions sharpest to heighten your bases consciousness through organizing.

If its you putting forth some social fascist party line like a lot of western parties do about “the masses vs the oligarch class” and funnel people into pedantic busywork like DSA/PSL for the essentially the same end result- putting all your energy into bourgeois electoral politics. Then it won’t achieve anything.

And the same would apply for anarchists. If your politics is devoid of anything anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist while or org just does like- mutual aid. There’s nothing inherently wrong with it but then again the question is what are you trying to build here.

Which for any big name leftist party rn it’s just to pick off angry liberals to get them to go vote for another Mamdani or whoever Brian Becker will pick to run for PSL in the next election cycle. And see how many books you can sell every month. Nothin special

i see it as primarily a petty bourgeois rally, not a place that would be welcoming of communist/anarchist organizers trying to get people involved in "real work"
