I support vaccine-stalinism, every brutal measure you can think of, I support it
I'm with Zizek on this on. F*** your bodily rights if it means harming the common. You gotta do it short and brutal like China did. Like taking off a band-aid.
I would be super curious to see what the results of a real forced vaccination would be in the US. there is simply not a stable culture here that it's compatible with. the entirety of US culture is essentially at any given time mass psychosis and zeitgeist obsession/reactionism. like how would people actually collectively handle it if a stalinist style of governance suddenly emerged here tomorrow (purely in a vacuum)
whats so bad about it? I lurk time to time just seems like ur normal ML community
from what I've heard it seems like every month there's some kind of massive unproductive drama that just makes people get at each others throats.
also the only person I know who uses it is a massive f***ing loser so my image of the site is gonna just be thousands of him's posting. he's literally just the "male feminist" stereotype.
I also really dislike the sense of humour/posting that was common in the chapo sub. mostly because it makes me cringe, but also because I used to be like that and i feel incredibly embarrassed whenever I think about it.
so I am admittedly a bit biased but I just don't like the discussion and the infighting. maybe its chilled out since I last heard about it but it just gives me a bad taste in my mouth.
I actually don't even really have a problem with the podcast, its just the community around it that I find insufferable.
This is actually insanely authoritarian. This is infringing on my free speech and Lockean-individuality given to me under the great constitution of the United States of America. What happened to habeas corpus?

is it not widely agreed upon that pre-neolithic humans were hunter gatherers?
I understand that there is a great deal of debate over how their societies were organized i.e. that new david graeber (RIP) book
but I'm not aware of anything beyond that, if you have links or reccs you can send them my way
How exactly a 'hunter-gatherer' society would be organised is a good question and further how exactly an economics, taken in its literal sense as an 'ordering', would arise from it.
I will concede that we could perhaps call some of the early humans 'hunter-gatherers' but as the literature that @krishna_bound linked says these people were nomadic first and hunting and gathering were predicates of their anterior nomadism. Thus hunting and gathering is only a modality of nomadism, as is animal husbandry. The obvious inverse of the nomad being the sedentary human who would have been agricultural, the man of fire. Is it not curious that the sedentary man, the modern 'scientist', has given rise to this absolutist conception of the hunter-gatherer while discarding the genesis of his own being?

This is fake. FAKE NEWS!
Even if it was real, CHINA copied the United States post-1800 civil war george-ist ideology that president Washington had. We had the greatest train-ideology in the entire globe. If it wasn't for the meddling corporatist Gerald Ford and the Marxist Elon Musk, we would've held our power.
you talk a lot about how someone else makes assumptions but then you yourself make the 'capitalist' assumption that ancient humans were hunter-gatherers !
Yes! The hunter and gatherer method of production was entirely sexist, misogynistic, and patriarchal! The capitalism inherent within the foraging societies is shown with the small scale trade-routes that the fettering bourgeoise created when the utopian primitive communism anarchistic agricultural societies became undone, unweavered, and unglued.
For example, the mayans and the anti-christ came up at the same time; look at Ronald Grant's book -- Mesopotamia Unleased and Unfettered: Means Of Produciton Gone Wild In Your Area. The inherent navel (read as Belly Button) within the post-marxist world means that the relationship of production is the antithesis of the dialectic; meaning, one becomes two, one becomes one.

They rly said that Japan has handled the pandemic well bc it's an ethnostate and is homogenous
They're literally just the classic nationalist european socdems that took over formerly marxist parties in europe after the dissolution of the USSR or after Deng took over depending on whether they were ML or MLM

like every art hoe in wider NYC area speaks like that, but they really lean into exaggerating it

the japan/asia countries comment had me rolling since they're anti-vax too
like do they realize all of those countries are the most vaccinated? japan is like 80% vaccinated, singapore is 90%, china is like 73%, etc
also nah youre being way too generous on them with the last comments. maybe dasha is like that but shes primarily concerned with clout before politics. anna is just a failed academic contrarian with no real beliefs besides contradicting anything that makes her seem edgy and cool
