(biased source but basically the only people reporting on it)
remember when all of the original BLM activists from 2016 were literally all assassinated and disappeared post-ferguson and freddie gray
then the focus of the organization shifted away from black community issues and policiing to typical lib socjus talking points a few years later
then last year it came out that BLM had somehow become a conglomerate organization instead of decentralized chapters and somehow no one was actually in charge of it and the directors had ghosted it
now would you look at that next step
all those corporate and democrat establishment creeps stealing the limelight of the 2020 protests makes a lot more sense now
activist organizations in the west, not even once
Do any of you guys have experience organizing a study group?
I temporarily moved away from the city I was in that had a large organizing scene and right now theres basically no communist organizing at my college other than the DSA which I had a terrible experience with.
I decided that with no organizing here, the best way to start would be a study group with the goal of eventually turning it into an actual org. So I've put out some flyers up and I've gotten a good number of people interested. However, I'm unsure how it should be organized.
Should it focus on reading bite size pieces of theory and news articles then discussing them or should the focus be on reading entire books a few chapters at a time?

I would suggest shorter excerpts
Mandel:
An introduction to marxist economics
Marx:
Wages Prices and Profit
Communist Manifesto
Critique of the Gotha Programm
Civil War in France
Mao:
A***ysis of the classes in Chinese Society
On Contradiction
On practice
Combat liberalism
Lenin:
Selected chapters of State and Revolution, Imperialism, Left-Communism
These should be a good start and keep you busy a few weeks

Thanks going to do my best to create more gonzaloites to piss people off on twitter by calling their favorite country revisionist or attacking DSA members

Then you should poach kids from discord since that seems to be the red guard demographic

sometimes its the only organizing that gets going in some cities
way i see it people gotta make due with what they have until they can build something better
but nah they gotta work on local issues and the community and stuff not take heed from corporate liberal talking points
some organizers do, trust me, not all BLM organizers are on this type of lib s***
People are actually agreeing with that NYC mayor drill music s*** lol
Your brain on idealism

more people need to talk about the original BLM/Ferguson community leader protestor assassinations. I have legitimately never seen it talked about anywhere.
It's all revolution? Always has been
so far, my thoughts on @krishna_bound post, and mind you, i am a novice just overall when it comes to the wide world of ideology imo (thats at least how i feel)
It's interesting that I'm artistically and philosophically fascinated with many of the concepts that inform fascism: absurdism, nihilism, and the mention of Dadaism... (part of me was like: "Damn I enjoy thinking about these and feel disconnected... wait am I a fasc- nahhh" ) lmao.
Then I had a question: "Is fascism just an aimless rejection of the current order of things, creating intentional confusion when used politically, so people grasp the disapproval of society at large but aren't able to follow what's being done with the support until its too late? (this sounds absolutely incoherent, seemingly like fascism) (basically, is it used as a confusion tactic, somewhat like a populism)
then the preservation of life as we know it is more important than anything
^ so is this one of the potential links to conservatism? (as we see the US embracing more and more nonsensical s*** on the further right wing, and then absolute inaction by way of centrism by the democrats,
because change leads to disruptions in the status quo
this s*** is heady as f***
i feel like any attempt to reiterate what I read will be just as nonsensical and scattered
It's time to read Blackshirts and Reds soon.
